Terms and community rules

By creating an account you agree to these terms and rules. They are short on purpose. Nadeemi is an independent project, not yet a registered company; questions go to info@nadeemi.com.

1. It's a beta

Nadeemi is in public beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and there may be bugs or downtime. Keep your own copies of anything important (you can download your data at any time). The service is provided as is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.

2. Adults only

You must be 18 or older. You must give your real date of birth. Accounts of people under 18 will be removed.

3. Your account

One person per account. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.
Don't impersonate people, brands or organisations. Usernames that impersonate others may be released.
You can download your data and delete your account at any time.

4. Your content

You own what you post. You give Nadeemi a limited licence to store, display and deliver it to the audience you choose, only to run the service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account (except copies others have already shared, and records we must keep by law).
Public means public. Anyone, including people without an account, may see public posts.
Encryption labels are honest. Private messages, group chats and Circles are encrypted on your device with MLS, but they are labelled "end-to-end encryption coming" until an independent audit is published. Read what we can and can't see.

5. Community rules

Not allowed on Nadeemi:

Child sexual abuse material or any sexualisation of minors. We block, suspend and report it to the authorities.
Threats, incitement to violence, terrorism, or praise of violent attacks.
Harassment, bullying, doxxing (sharing someone's private details), or non-consensual intimate images.
Hate against people for their religion, ethnicity, nationality, sex, disability or similar.
Scams, fraud, phishing, malware, spam, fake accounts or coordinated manipulation.
Selling illegal goods or services, or anything illegal where you or the other person live.
Sexual content involving anyone who did not consent. Explicit sexual content in public spaces.

Moderators may remove content, limit features or suspend accounts that break these rules. Report anything that worries you from the menu on any post, profile, group or message.

6. The honesty box

Nadeemi is free to use. We will ask members, on trust, for US$5 a month in crypto (USDT, USDC or Monero); during the beta's welcome period payments are not switched on. Payments are voluntary support, not a purchase of extra features, and are not refundable except where the law requires. Nadeemi may later decide that accounts which never support become read-only after notice; if that ever happens, you will be told in advance and downloading and deleting your data will always stay available.

7. No AI, no ads

Nadeemi has no AI features and shows no ads. We do not sell your data.

8. Ending

You can leave at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or end the beta, with notice where possible.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change, and important changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Nadeemi after a change means you accept it.
