What is the honesty box?
Every social network is paid for by somebody. On most of them, the somebody is an advertiser, and the product being sold is your attention, measured, profiled and auctioned. Nadeemi takes the old-fashioned route instead: the people who use it pay for it, and only if they think it is worth it. We call it the honesty box, after the farm-gate box where you leave money for eggs and nobody stands guard.
In one line: Nadeemi asks every member for US$5 a month on trust. That is the whole business model. Right now it is a welcome period: payment addresses are not switched on and nobody is asked to pay.
Why does Nadeemi ask for money at all?
Because the alternative is ads, and ads need tracking. A network paid by its members has one customer to please: you. That is why Nadeemi can promise no ads, no tracking, no selling of your data, no phone number and no AI features, and keep the promise when growth gets hard.
How will paying work?
When payments open, the Support page in the app shows your own personal payment addresses:
- USDT on the TRON (TRC-20) network,
- USDC on Base,
- Monero (XMR).
Each US$5 adds 30 days of supporter status; any remainder is kept as credit. Nadeemi sees the payment on the blockchain within minutes, so you do not need to email us or send a screenshot. Only send the exact token on the exact network shown: other tokens or networks are lost.
Why crypto and not a card?
Card payments need a payment company, a registered business and, usually, your name and address on every transaction. Stablecoins and Monero let us start small with no card numbers stored anywhere. Be aware that USDT and USDC payments are visible on public blockchains (as amounts and addresses, not your name); Monero is designed to keep payments private. We know this is not for everyone yet, which is one reason nobody is asked to pay during the welcome period.
What do supporters get?
The same Nadeemi as everyone else, plus a small supporter badge. We do not sell features. Paying keeps the lights on; it does not buy you a louder voice.
What happens if I don't pay?
During the welcome period: nothing. If a support requirement is ever switched on, you will get a notice in the app and by email first, with at least 7 days before anything changes. Even then, reading, downloading your data, deleting your account, blocking and reporting always keep working.
